An Autism charity hosted by a British millionaire

On April 19th, 2014, there was an autism charity called Autism Rocks! that was hosted by a British millionaire named Sanjay Shah. Sanjay got the idea to do a charity to raise money for autism research because his son was diagnosed with autism. Autism Rocks! was held at Café du Paris. The entertainment at the charity event had musicians Prince, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, Michael Bublé, Drake, and many well-known DJ’s.
There was 700 people there, and they raised 200,000 pounds for autism research. Sanjay hopes to further expand the charity to different venues in other places around the world. He would love to have Eric Clapton be part of the charity. He also wants to put together an Autism Rocks! album with many artists contributing to the cause.

Sanjay Shah is the CEO of a financial company called Solo Capital Partners, LLP. Solo Capital Partners, LLP is located in London. Sanjay is not new to the banking world. He has been in the banking industry for 14 years. He started his journey as a charted accountant at KPMG. Then he became a consultant, and managing director at Morgan Stanley & Co. He also worked at Merrill Lynch. Then he worked for Credit Suisse as a synthetic prime broker. in 2003, Sanjay became a senior equity finance trader at ING Bank which led to linear equity derivatives trading in London and New York. Sanjay worked at Rabobank in 2008 in the securities finance department.

Sanjay was born in London, but now he lives in Dubai. He went to Kings College in London, learning biomedical science. Sanjay is on the trustee board for the Autism Research Trust which donates money to the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University. He became part of that board in 2013. Since then there has been numerous donations to the trust.
